Chicken Divan



This is one of my favorite go to casserole recipes. It makes a ton. So cut the recipe in half if you need to. It also works great with asparagus. Hope you enjoy.


3 lbs chicken cooked and chopped
1 1/2-2 lbs broccoli chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup mayonnaise not light
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp curry powder
3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 tbs melted butter

Cook broccoli just until tender(don't overcook) who likes mushy broccoli? Lay broccoli on bottom of 9x13 pan. Combine soups, milk, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and curry powder in sauce pan.Heat. Add cheese stir until melted. add chicken and pour over broccoli. combine crumbs and butter, sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Ooo, that is a good casserole. Yours sounds wonderful and comforting! I can totally envision this with the asparagus too. Glad you and your family enjoyed the red beans - have a great week!
