Grilled Cola Chicken
I have made several time the marinade with sprite. But I was out of sprite and found this great marinade. Everyone loved it. I even used the leftovers for yummy chicken wraps.
Grilled Chicken Cola Marinade
2 C (16 oz) Coke or Pepsi
1/3 C soy sauce
1 T minced garlic
1/2 C brown sugar
1 T balsamic vinegar
6 chicken breasts
1. Combine all ingredients but the chicken in a medium sized bowl. Stir to incorporate well.
2. Place chicken in a large gallon sized Ziploc bag. Pour marinade over the chicken. Seal tightly and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
3. Discard marinade and grill until cooked through.

Homemade Oatmeal Packets
We have been doing these for while now. They are so good and taste a lot better than the store bought. They are even better for you. For the fruit and cream I purchase the fruit bits from honeyville farms website.
for each baggie add:
1/2 cup quick oats
2TBS powdered milk or powdered creamer
VARIATIONS - (Adjust to your own taste... Or your kids own taste!)
Don't forget to double or triple the flavor ingredients, depending on how many packets you put in each bag!
Apple-Cinnamon - To each packet, add 1 Tbsp. sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, and 2 Tbsp. chopped dried apples.
Apple Pie - To each packet, add ¼ tsp. apple pie spice and dried chopped apples
Brown Sugar/Cinnamon - To each packet, add 1 Tbsp. brown sugar & 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Raisins & Brown Sugar - To each packet, add 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. raisins.
Health Nut - To each packet, add 1/2 Tbsp. each wheat germ, ground flax seed, chopped almonds
Honey Nut - To each packet, add 1 Tbsp. honey & 1 T. chopped pecans/almonds
Fruit & Cream - To each packet, add 1 Tbsp. non-dairy coffee creamer and 2 Tbsp. dried fruit & / or powdered fruit flavor
Candy Bar - To each packet add 2 Tbsp. Crushed Butterfinger (or other candy bar) to each packet.
Maple & Brown Sugar - To each packet add maple syrup & extra brown sugar

Chicken Divan
This is one of my favorite go to casserole recipes. It makes a ton. So cut the recipe in half if you need to. It also works great with asparagus. Hope you enjoy.
3 lbs chicken cooked and chopped
1 1/2-2 lbs broccoli chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup mayonnaise not light
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp curry powder
3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 tbs melted butter
Cook broccoli just until tender(don't overcook) who likes mushy broccoli? Lay broccoli on bottom of 9x13 pan. Combine soups, milk, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and curry powder in sauce pan.Heat. Add cheese stir until melted. add chicken and pour over broccoli. combine crumbs and butter, sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
