New Member Of The Family

This is Lexie the newest member of our family. She has so far been a sweetheart. She doesn't bark often (which is rare for min pins) That was of of the biggest reasons I liked her. She is a big cuddle bug. She just loves to sit on your lap. She loves the kids and has been great with them. The true test is to see how she does with all the other family dogs, Lucy, milly & mimi. We'll see how much attitude she realy has.

Breaking Dawn

I kept telling all those that read the Twilight series books were obsessed for planning on going to the parties for the release of Breaking Dawn. So what do I do? I go. It had to be one of the funnest nights I have had in a long time. My friend Liz, her sister and I started our night at Joe's Crab Shak, then headed to Barnes and Noble for the party. I couldn't believe all the people, and all the crazy attire. We waited in line so we couldget a picture with Edward and Bella look alikes. Liz was just happy to be next to Edward. Next we headed to Walmart for the book I'm glad we did since there were not as mant there as at Barnes and Noble. We waited for an hour, enjoyed cake and people watching. By the end it was so past any of our bedtimes we were laughing at everything. I love the book so far and would recomend it to anyone and everyone.

Back Home

We had a great time and are very glad to be back. The kids loved the beach. We also had a great time in SeaWorld. Hunter got tired of seeing the shows though and said they were all the same. I have to admit they did get old after awhile. I loved to see the exibits and learn about all the sea life. We also had a good time in Old Town. If you want a great place to stay go to the Pacific Terrace Hotel. Very friendly staff. And great chocolate on your pillow each night. The only complaint I have is that Mike couldn't go. I wish he was there to share this vacation with the rest of the family. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Recipe Day

I hope All of you enjoy these recipes as much as me and my family do.

Kielbasa Pasta

1 Kielbasa sausage-sliced
8 oz mushrooms sliced
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 cube butter or margarine
2 tomatoes diced
Fresh or dried oregano

Sauté mushrooms in butter and garlic. Add kielbasa and heat through. Last add tomatoes and oregano to taste. Toss together with angel hair pasta.

I recieved this recipe from my sister. We love it on hot summer nights, when you need somthing fast.

Capellini Pomodoro

¼ olive oil
2 cans diced tomatoes, drained
4 cloves garlic minced
12 leaves fresh basil, chopped
½ tsp dried oregano
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper

Place olive oil in hot pan. Add rest of ingredients and cook for 5 minutes. Toss with cooked angel hair pasta. Very good with cooked shrimp also.

Tuesday

I am realy busy this week. I am trying to get everything ready for our trip to San Diego for all of next week. I don't know if I should be excited to go or worried since Mike isn't going. So I will have the kids all to myself. But I just keep telling myself I have them everyday so what is the big deal. It should be fun. Family reunions always are interesting though. My kids have been excited to go for over a month now. And they are being little beasts this week. I don't know if it is pent up excitement or what. I hope it ends this week and they are good for me next week. I want to have some kind of vacation.
