Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is my all time favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I recieved it from a good friend in our former ward. I don't use any other recipe. It turns out perfect every time. Everyone asks for the recipe so here it is. They freeze well.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

5 heaping cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 sticks butter softened
2 sticks margarine softened
1 ½ cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
3 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
1 (12 oz) bag, semi sweet chocolate chips
1 (12 oz) bag, milk chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans (omit if you don’t like nuts)

Beat Butter, margarine and sugars and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 for 11 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 10 dozen cookies.

I LOVE cookie recipes and this one looks delicious!! I've never thought to put pecans in my cookies. I am very much a pecan lover! YUMMY!

Thanks for stopping by my Blog! I will definitely have to stop in and visit yours as well. I love getting ideas and reading about other peoples lives who do things similar to the way we do.

I am looking into purchasing some dried corn from a nice man in our ward so we can grind it ourselves, but until then I just get cornmeal in the BULK section at Winco and I found gallon buckets WITH gamma lids at WalMart that work very well for storing this.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you better.

Have a wonderful weekend!

(BTW...it looks like our sons both got Indiana Jones cakes for their birthdays this year. My son's birthday was in March--you did a great job on your sons cake---boys are sure lots of fun!)
